On Tuesday, March 3, we held the Graduation Ceremony of Himeji International High School on the occasion of Hinamatsuri (Peach Festival), a traditional Japanese celebration that wishes for the healthy growth and happiness of girls.

In the principal’s address, he spoke about the enduring importance of putting knowledge and culture into practice, even in an increasingly uncertain society. He also emphasized that although we now live in an AI-driven world, it is ultimately human beings who integrate and give meaning to knowledge, highlighting the importance of developing strong human character and capability. He encouraged the graduates to apply the skills cultivated through our school’s distinctive liberal arts education—the ability to question, the strength of will, and the ability to construct ideas—in their future studies and lives.
We also received warm congratulatory messages from distinguished guests, both through speeches and telegrams. The farewell address from the current students and the reply from the graduating class were deeply moving, expressing heartfelt gratitude to their seniors, teachers, parents, and everyone who supported them along the way. In the closing remarks from the parents’ representative, we received words that were truly humbling. As educators, we felt deeply honored and reaffirmed our commitment to continue dedicating ourselves fully to the education and growth of our students.

A total of 124 graduates left their school days behind and embarked on the next stage of their journeys in a ceremony that was both solemn and celebratory, attended by many distinguished guests.
To the parents and guardians, we sincerely thank you for your support and cooperation over the past three years. We would also like to express our gratitude to the junior high school teachers who entrusted their students’ futures to our school through their guidance. We are relieved and honored to have been able to pass the baton we received on to the next stage of their lives.

We kindly ask for your continued support and encouragement in the years to come.
